Symptoms

SLConsole Timeout During Installation Burn-In Testing

If running burn-in testing, the same SLConsole timeout that causes the panel to logoff, will also stop the diagnostics.

Cause

 Limitation of parameters.

Solution

Use the following command to extend the login timeout to 168 hours (1 week) during installation testing.  If the customer desires, it can be set back to the default of 6 hours when the installation is complete.

SL8500> config pliAuth set 168

SL8500> config pliAuth set [6,24,48,72,168]

Note: The operator panel, any SLConsole or SSH session will timeout after the specified interval, regardless of intervening use or access of the interfaces. If diagnostics stop there will be a login prompt on the screen for EACH routine that was running when the login timed out.  You should be able to login to multiple requests and one-by-one the tests should resume.
