On Active master server of IXP subsystem there will be a lot of messages like below when executing "ps -fu cfguser"

ps -fu cfguser
cfguser  30098     1  0 Nov28 ?        00:00:00 ssh -o StrictHostKeyChecking no 1.2.3.4 . .bash_profile; iset -fvalue=0 IdbParamDef where "param='Cm5Compat'"

cfguser  30099     1  0 Nov28 ?        00:00:00 tee -a /var/TKLC/ixp/run/proc/UpdateIdbParamDef.log
cfguser  32126     1  0 Nov28 ?        00:00:00 ssh -o StrictHostKeyChecking no 1.2.3.4 . .bash_profile; iset -fvalue=0 IdbParamDef where "param='Cm5Compat'"
cfguser  32127     1  0 Nov28 ?        00:00:00 tee -a /var/TKLC/ixp/run/proc/UpdateIdbParamDef.log
cfguser  32551     1  0 Nov28 ?        00:00:00 ssh -o StrictHostKeyChecking no 1.2.3.4 . .bash_profile; iset -fvalue=0 IdbParamDef where "param='Cm5Compat'"
cfguser  32552     1  0 Nov28 ?        00:00:00 tee -a /var/TKLC/ixp/run/proc/UpdateIdbParamDef.log

Cause

One of servers of IXP subsystem is in a bad state and not responding to requests from Active master. In example of log above, issue is on IXP server with IP address 1.2.3.4.

For Apply changes to happen and complete properly all servers of IXP subsystem should be in a good state.

Solution

To resolve the issue, restart TKLCixp service on the IXP server having the issue

ssh root@1.2.3.4
service TKLCixp stop
service TKLCixp start
