Created from <SR 3-9875170401>

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Performance Intelligence Center (PIC) Software - Version 10.1.0 and later
Tekelec

Symptoms

By checking sessions on NSP which are associated to the dictionary RAN CC2 , some sessions have the following message:

"No data available" in PDU summary window.

Changes

New system installed in PIC10.1 and new builder implemented.

Cause

Specific Parameter "Send PDU" is not checked in the CCM GUI.

Solution

  1. if PDU are needed on sessions associated to the RAN CC2 builder, check the specific parameter "Send PDU"
  2. Apply configuration on IXP to push the modification

Notes:

  • Both Specific and Generic parameters must be checked (parameter exists on both sections).
  • Be careful performances of the builder could be affected
  • Builders RAN (Like RAN CC2) are designed for KPI creation and not trace. This is why the PDU are not stored by default. PDU are stored with IuC or BSSAP TDR builders.
  • For tracing purpose, it is recommended to use BSSAP, IU and S1 xDRs. ALL PDU are present for these builders including the NAS PDU (CC, SM, MM, EMM, SESM, ...)
