Symptoms

 In Exalogic releases following errors are printed in the /var/log/messages repeatedly in guest vServers.

Cause

The message arises from an alias conflict between snd-pcsp and pcspkr. These messages can be safely ignored.

Solution

These messages can be safely ignored as it does not cause any functional problem.

If you want to prevent the message from being displayed, add the following line to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf:

blacklist snd-pcsp
