Created from <SR 3-9860552023> Applies to:Sun Netra T5220 Server - Version All Versions and laterOracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit) SymptomsDVD ROM Drive does not work, replacing with a new DVD Drive will not solve the problem. Following error message can be seen on POST: "ERROR: Unable to disown USB port 1" No HW errors reported on Solaris. CauseThe DVD drive's controller is on the PDB. SolutionThe issue will most likely be resolved by replacing PDB. The Media Bay is a much lower probability. Correct part numbers are required since there are SATA & PATA versions of the DVD drive & thus controller on the PDB. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
