Symptoms

Running the command "Sefos#no ip routing" can cause SEFOS to crash 

 

SEFOS(config)# int vlan 12
SEFOS(config-if)# no ip addr
Connection closed by foreign host.
cd: The session with /SYS/fs_cli has ended.

Show files command show that there are two new files created:
switch.conf.crash
issnvram.txt.crash

Cause

 This is a firmware defect  in version 1.2.2.7 (72P and 24P NEM) and is fixed in the 1.2.2.9 release.  The same defect was found in 1.3.1.5 (ES1-24) and fixed in 1.3.1.7.

Solution

 Update the firmware on Sun 72P to 1.2.2.9 or higher.  Update the firmware on ES1-24 to 1.3.1.7 or higher.
