The hardware and firmware does not match with the profile. See details below ChangesRecently upgraded to Exadata Storage Version 11.2.3.3.1 or 12.1.1.1.1 CauseThe BIOS updates are not applied. SolutionThe BIOS update is done after a power-off and power-on of the server. The update requires the server to be off for 5 to 10 minutes. This is automated as part of the patching cycle but sometimes this update can fail if the system is not ready or if the timing is not right. This can happen from time to time and it is usually just a case of re-running the update again.
Alternatively, if all the other patches appeared to complete, then a hard reset of the server - power off, wait 10 minutes, then power on - is needed to make the BIOS update be applied. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
