Symptoms

 Guest domain fails to boot.

<Need some examples of the issue >

Changes

Newly installed system with XCP2230.

Cause

When Live Migration is performed, Hypervisor does not clear VCPU state appropriately. The VCPUs on source system of Live Migration keeps inappropriate state and eventually the VCPUs do not receive any interrupts.  If a new guest domain is created on the VCPUs, the guest domain fails to boot.

To verify you are running on XCP2230 run the "version -c xcp" command.

XSCF> version -c xcp
BB#00-XSCF#0 (Master)
XCP0 (Reserve): 2230
XCP1 (Current): 2230

This issue only affects XCP2230 and is fixed in XCP2231 and above.

Solution

Please upgrade the XCP to XCP2231 or later.

XCP information is available in document 1554086.1.
