Applies to:

Oracle Communications EAGLE (Hardware) - Version EPAP 13.0 to EPAP 15.0 [Release EPAP 13.0 to EPAP 15.0]
Tekelec

Symptoms

User is trying to modify EPAP customer data, at the EPAP GUI, and receives an error: PDBI Too Many Connections

Cause

The default maximum number of connections, from the users network to the PDBI at the EPAP, is 16. For whatever reason, sometimes connections are not released and are left hanging. If the user receives the "too many connections error", this means that no more connections are allowed to the PDBI. Normally, run the command listPDBIConns.pl command to see the 16 connections.

Solution

The issue is resolved by stopping and starting the PDBA software, at the EPAP. This can be done at the GUI or from command line.

Command Line:

/etc/init.d/PDBA stop

/etc/init.d/PDBA start
