StorageTek SL150 Modular Tape Library - Version All Versions and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Power Supply Communication may stop updating power supply  environmental monitoring parameters.

Can Not Detect Power Supply Failure.

Cause

 Firmware issue.

Solution

Issue resolved with firmware update to 2.25.

  Work around:

Pull both power supply AC power cords of the power supplies within the same module to reset the communication.

This should only be done when the library module with those Power supplies can afford to lose power (no host commands and no drive activity is in process).

Note: Rebooting the library will not reset the operation to normal condition.
