Created from <SR 3-9507499011> Applies to:Sun ZFS Storage 7420 - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]Sun ZFS Storage 7320 - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] Sun Storage 7410 Unified Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] Sun ZFS Storage 7120 - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] Sun Storage 7310 Unified Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] 7000 Appliance OS (Fishworks) SymptomsNDMP backup failing when running a backup for a few projects - but not for others on the NAS. If the NDMP logs files are checked then you see something like this for the failed projects: 2014-8-6 07:25:07 /usr/lib/ndmp/ndmpd[1143] error error setting property 0.0.u/0.level.r
2014-8-6 07:25:07 /usr/lib/ndmp/ndmpd[1143] error No more space is available 2014-8-6 07:25:07 /usr/lib/ndmp/ndmpd[1143] error cannot set property for 'pool/local/project_name /bakcup_name@some_other_name'--out of space 2014-8-6 07:25:07 /usr/lib/ndmp/ndmpd[1143] error zfs_prop_set: -1
CauseThe 'failing' project shares actually had quotas set on them that were exceeded at the time of the scheduled NDMP backup. The associated ZFS pool (on the NAS appliance) and the actual top level project did not have any space issues.
SolutionThe shares in the Project had space cleared - so they were then below their quota limits. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
