Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Customer complaint regarding backup jobs failing in SL150.

SL150 Tape drives going offline as soon as the backup is fired from OSB.

OSB reports the below error messages:
media as "doesn't meet mount requirements - unlabeled".
qlm__select_volume returned error - failed to find match in library for automount (library manager)
No volume could be found in SL150 (for drive SL150-Drive0) to use for job 1.1
A volume usable for media family OSB-CATALOG-MF is needed to perform a backup.

Changes

 This is a new installation.SL150 mapped to OSB running on Oracle Linux.

Cause

Issue with OSB configuration.

Solution

Reconfigure the OSB media catalogs.
