Symptoms

Fan not working

Cause

This problem can be caused by issuing a (break, stop-A, ~#, etc..) prior to OBP finishing it's initialization.  It is highly timing dependent, and not the most common cause of Fan issues.

You should not interrupt OBP from initializing. It must complete and reach the OK prompt.

Solution

Shutdown the server and remove all power for a few seconds, then start it again so the OBP process can complete. After that you can boot Solaris as usual.
