Symptoms

During initial installation of an Exalytics X3-4, the following errors were seen while running the "exalytics_configure_network.sh" script to configure networking on the machine:

[EXALYTICS_ERROR:GENERAL] version 2.0.44-k2 or 3.4.24-NAPI of 10GB Ethernet driver is not installed on this machine.
10GB card not present or DD is wrong

Cause

The Dual-Port 10 Gigabit-Ethernet PCIe 2.0 Copper/Fiber SFP+ card in the Exalytics server contained non-Oracle SFP+ modules.

Solution

Replacing the incorrect SFP+ modules with Oracle supported SFP+ modules (and rebooting the machine) allowed the "exalytics_configure_network.sh" script to complete without errors.
