Symptoms

When connected to the ILOM web interface for ZFS-SA the following message may be displayed:

Storage:
Health: Warning Not Available
Health Details: Comprehensive System monitoring is not available. Ensure the host is running with the Hardware Management Pack.

Cause

This message is referring to the Oracle Hardware Management Pack (OHMP) which is a monitoring tool used for Oracle X86 Systems.

However, OHMP cannot be installed in a ZFS-SA.

Solution

This message in the ILOM console is expected on ZFS-SA and can be ignored.

The ZFS-SA uses different mechanisms for monitoring itself.
