Symptoms

ibqueryerror.pl output shows symbol err and link down on both ports that connect to the same host.

Listlinkup on both IB2 and IB3 show the following:
Connector 13B Present <-> Switch Port 10 is down (Enabled)

Cause

In this case, the HCA in question had failed, so both IB links were in DOWN state.

Solution

One approach is to replace IB cables, but in this case, the HCA in question had failed and needed to be replaced.
