Symptoms

LTO drive has disappeared and we are unable to see the drive details in SL console

Log symptoms :

1118 - (46X)
No drive installed at address, hliLsm=2 address=(Drive_Bay32)1,3,-2,1,1

1301 - (2X)

Cause

Drive bezel, Drive tray power supply, cable assembly (TTI), PWA, HBD Card, Drive Tray

Solution

Check the drive latch is locked properly and drive seated properly
Confirm that the drive bezel is correctly seated and is not broken.
Check TTI cable connectivity.
Check drive tray power supply LED is blinking green.

Swap the drive with other working drive tray.

If the drive is working on another drive tray try replacing the HBD at the faulty location.
If the drive is not working on another drive tray replace the drive.

Check whether the drive visible from SLC console.
