Sun Storage C2 Tape Autoloader - Version All Versions and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Autoloader was replaced. After replacement, the Medium Changer was not showing up in the cfgadm -alv / Os level

Cause

By Default C2 Autoloader Change Mode = Sequential. Change it to RANDOM.

Solution

By Default C2 Autoloader Change Mode = Sequential. Change it to RANDOM and Reboot the server.

Another thing that can cause the issue is SCSI HBA not set to MLUN Support.

Go go SCSI BIOS and only for the SCSI id that C2 Autoloader is assigned, change the setting Multiple LUN (MLUN) to yes / enable.
