Symptoms

In the Configuration Cluster user interface page on an array node running code level 2013.1.2 and above and configuring cluster resources, the pull down menu a particular resource (like a network or pool) for assigning that resource to a particular head is not shown.

Changes

This is seen as a result of upgrading to or running the 2013.1.2.x code level and above.

Cause

The cause is due to the changes implemented through bug 15556647.

Solution

In order to be able to assign cluster resources, the node must be in owner state and that head is owning all of the resources with the other head stripped.

So in order to be able to assign resources one head must takeover all resources.

Then the assignment changes can be done.

Then a failback is done to get the resources in their proper place.
