Changes

USB DVD device is attached to the USB port and is not powered by an external source.

Cause

The errors can be caused by an external USB DVD drive being powered by the USB port.

This specific drive has a max of 7.5W and the USB 2.0 spec is a max of .5A

Solution

As stated in the "Operation and Administration Guide":
Use a dedicated AC adapter to supply power to the externally connected DVD drive.
The recommended DVD drive and AC adapter is Oracle option 7106761 External USB DVD drive with AC adapter.
