Symptoms

NDMP Backup performance degradation after ZFS Storage Appliance is upgraded to 2013 firmware code.

Changes

After upgrade to 2013 firmware code.

Cause

Bug 18820914 NDMP BACKUPS UP TO 40% SLOWER ON AK8 VS 2011.1.6 CODE

Compiler optimization without -x space has increased ndmp (type=zfs) backup performance in 2013 firmware code.

IDR is made available and work is on going to reclaim 2011 ndmp backup performance.
