Symptoms

If using OEDA/ JOC from a version older than OCT 2014 you can inadvertantly destroy all underlying cell disks while undoing a failed zone creation or if rerunning either step 6 or 7 depending on version.


Cause

 OEDA was never intended to be used post initial install and this SuperCluster requirement for post initial install use is an enhancement.  that was completed in OCT 2014 

Solution

Running OEDA or JOC older then OCT 2014 is not supported on SuperCluster please always try and use the latest version available.

This can be located in the OEDA table in  Exadata Database Machine and Exadata Storage Server Supported Versions <Document 888828.1>
