Pillar Axiom 600 Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

This event will occur when a slammer CU warmstarts and is able to recover.  Event logs will look similar to this:

2014-06-07T20:17:07+02:00   Informational   SlammerControlUnitRecoverySucceeded     Slammer1    CU-1

Or in Release 5,

PCP_EVT_SLAMMER_WARMSTART_COMPLETE.

Cause

Slammer Control Unit Recovery Succeeded is reported when a warmstart of a slammer CU occurs and is able to recover.

These events are generated for one of the following reasons:

1) S/W has initiated the warmstart to correct the problem.

2) Occurs during a S/W upgrade.

3) Manually executed via CLI.

It allows the system to catch faults and address them before they result in more serious issues.
This is not an issue unless you have a 3rd warmstart within an hour.

This will do a soft reset of the CU to attempt to alleviate any problem it detected.

Solution

If this is the only event reported, and the system is showing all NORMAL, there is no action to take.

The SR that would normally be generated will be closed automatically.

If the system is not normal, please contact support for assistance.

It is recommended to always be at the latest release, please review the following document to determine the current release:
