Symptoms

After the OS is reloaded on a previously used T2000 server the hardware shows errors when it's booted through init 6 or reset commands:

Example:

# init 6
# svc.startd: The system is coming down. Please wait.
svc.startd: 71 system services are now being stopped.
May 9 15:47:06 testbox20 syslogd: going down on signal 15
svc.startd: The system is down.
syncing file systems... done
rebooting...
Resetting...

ERROR: /pci@7c0/pci@0/pci@1/pci@0/usb@6: Last Trap: Level 15 Interrupt
{0} ok boot
FATAL: /pci@7c0/pci@0/pci@1/pci@0/usb@6: OpenBoot initialization sequence prema.

FATAL: system is not bootable, boot command is disabled
{0} ok


When powered off/on via ALOM or power button the error is not reported.

Cause

Apparently due to conflicting pre existing ldom configuration.
 

Solution

Reset the SC bootmode config to factory-defaults and then reload the OS.

Command Usage:

sc> bootmode config="factory-default"
sc> poweroff

   Wait for system to power off.

sc> poweron -c
OR
sc> poweron
