Symptom2:  XSCF performs poorly:

Ex.1; The CLI command might terminate abnormally with the message as follows.

    • "Cannot communicate with the other XSCF. Check the other XSCF' stat".

Ex.2;  Logging into the XSCF is delayed or takes an abnormally long time.

    • The login processing by the Telnet/SSH client and/or Web browser might experience a timeout because the XSCF processing is impacted.

Ex.3;  The response to commands that acquire MIB information such as a get command and so on become slow.

    • When this occurs the external SNMP manager might detect a timeout.

Changes

Cause

Issue is caused by a bug in XCP firmware versions less than XCP2090.

Solution

Workaround:

How to recover:

For symptoms 1 and 2 excluding Ex.1, the system can be recovered by resetting the XSCF.  The XCP firmware version should be upgraded after the reboot.

For Ex.1 of symptoms 2,reset the XSCF with the rebootxscf(8) command or the reset switch.

Resolution:

Issue is fixed in XCP2090 but please apply the latest XCP version.  See Doc 1554086.1 Fujitsu M10-1/M10-4/M10-4S XSCF Control Package (XCP) Firmware Image Software Version Matrix Information
