Post patching exachk report warning :

Cause

Hardware and firmware profile check is not successful. [Database Server] :

This is because InfinibandHCAFirmwareVersion has not updated after patching.

This applies to images prior to 11.2.3.3.0 which resolves bug 16392070.

Solution

1) Please run following command on node that node only to upgrade firmware manually :

#/opt/oracle.cellos/CheckHWnFWProfile -action updatefw -component InfinibandHCA

Note : Please note that above command will reboot the node as part of firmware upgradation process.

2) If ILOM/BIOS version is not the upgraded one , we can also upgrade it manually as per following command :

- Stop database/clusterware services if it is dbnode or stop cellservices if it is cellnode
- Copy/extract patch to this node .
- Execute following steps to manually upgrade ILOM & BIOS :
- #/opt/oracle.cellos/CheckHWnFWProfile -action updatefw -mode diagnostic -component ILOM -attribute ILOMVersion -diagnostic_version "3.0.16.15.e r87097" -diagnostic_affected_attr BIOS/BIOSVersion=07060310 -fwpath <absolte path for patch .pkg file>
eg :./CheckHWnFWProfile -action updatefw -mode diagnostic -component ILOM -attribute ILOMVersion -diagnostic_version "3.0.16.15.a r73751" -diagnostic_affected_attr BIOS/BIOSVersion=07060304 -fwpath /root/Sun_Fire_X4170_X4270_X4275.pkg
- Please note that this might reboot the node . If it do not reboot automatically, reboot the node after this.
