Symptoms

Oracle PC Keyboards (black) may not initially work with Sun Ray Client devices, but work without problems on any other workstation.

Part numbers of impacted Oracle Keyboards are:

7055212 Oracle German Keyboard
7055216 Oracle Japanese Keyboard
7055217 Oracle Spanish Keyboard
7055209 Oracle US Keyboard

The Oracle keyboard and mouse are certified for use with Sun Ray Clients. This document provides specifications for the new generation Oracle keyboard and mouse.

Cause

Some versions of the Sun Ray Operating System (SROS) installed on the Sun Ray Client Device may not recognize newer Oracle keyboards.

Solution

In order to have the Oracle keyboards work with Sun Ray Clients, the existing firmware / SROS must be upgraded to SROS 11.1.3 or later.
