Cause

This behavior is described further in the following bug:

Bug 16068181 : HMP: ERIE MPT_SAS: FAILED TO COPY OUT REPLY DATA

Based on the information in this bug, these Warnings may occur after executing the"fwupdate reset controller -n c1\c2" command.
The problem can be reproduced on S10u11 and S11u1
However, this behavior has been observed in general operation.

The system warnings are due to mpt_sas driver interaction with SAS HBA. They can be ignored.
However, if this message is very frequent and causing unnecessary concern for the customer it can be suppressed. See Solution.

On this particular case, it was not identified what triggered these errors on server1

Solution

For Solaris 11 upgrade to Oracle Solaris 11.2.5.5.0 (or greater)

For Solaris 10 (Sparc) upgrade to at least Kernel patch 150400-35.

For Solaris 10 (i386) upgrade to at least  Kernel patch 150401-35.
