Symptoms

Attempts to dynamically add memory to a Solaris 10 guest ldom fail as shown here:

#ldm add-memory --auto-adj 64G mydom
The mydom domain does not support the dynamic reconfiguration of memory.

Cause

Patch 150107-02 includes the fix for Bug 16317643.

Bug 16317643 : "MD-UPDATE" ISSUE PREVENTING DR OPERATIONS

The patch is required to dynamically add memory on Solaris 10 guest domains.

Solution

Install patch 150107-02 or higher on the Solaris 10 guest domain.
