Symptoms

VDI 3.5 cloning fails when trying to clone more than 400 VM per LUN at one time - below this figure the clones work fine.

Cause

This is a known issue with earlier versions of Appliance Firmware Releases.

Solution

Upgrade the Appliance Firmware Release to 2013.1.1.6 (ak-2013.06.05.1.6) - Patch number 18362424 - which has increased the limit to 400 VMs creation per LUN.
