SymptomsCustomer had a faulted DIMM replaced All faults had been cleared from Solaris and no errors reported in ILOM, ALOM, but the service LED was reported as ON (steady) by ILOM, ALOM and prtdiag. Hereby an example from the ILOM side: /SYS/MB/CMP0/BR1/CH0/D0
CauseBug:15670052 SolutionFrom the SP (ALOM/ILOM) toggle a state change (toggling a state change has no effect on a running system):
ALOM sc> disablecomponent /SYS/MB/CMP0/BR1/CH0/D0 wait 30 seconds and confirm the change, sc> showcomponent /SYS/MB/CMP0/BR1/CH0/D0, sc> showfru /SYS/MB/CMP0/BR1/CH0/D0 sc> enablecomponent /SYS/MB/CMP0/BR1/CH0/D0 wait 30 seconds and confirm the change, sc> showcomponent /SYS/MB/CMP0/BR1/CH0/D0, sc> showfru /SYS/MB/CMP0/BR1/CH0/D0
ILOM -> set /SYS/MB/CMP0/BR1/CH0/D0 component_state=disabled wait 30 seconds and confirm the change, -> show -l all /SYS/MB/CMP0/BR1/CH0/D0 -> set /SYS/MB/CMP0/BR1/CH0/D0 component_state=enabled wait 30 seconds and confirm the change, -> show -l all /SYS/MB/CMP0/BR1/CH0/D0
