Changes

 RAID controller firmware 12.12.0-178

Cause

Battery does not need to charge to 100%, it will only charge to mAh needed for 2 days of data retention. As battery ages, this percentage will get larger. This allows the unused battery to age slower.

Solution

 Default behaviour with firmware 12.12.0-178
