SymptomsFailure to change root-user's default password in ILOM via the web interface or the CLI. 1) Attempting to change the default password for root-user (the only user in ILOM) results in an error message: "Error: Invalid credentials" NOTE: after attempting either of the above operations, the switch may hang (unresponsive) -- and ILOM snapshots may be corrupt/incomplete, even after the switch is power-cycled. CauseIt seems the the password file may have been corrupted, possibly due to powering off the switch while the file was being updated.
