Symptoms

After expanding memory on new X4 Exadata - exach and manual execution of /opt/oracle.cellos/CheckHWnFWProfile
show following warning/errors:

Cause

This is a new bug in Exadata software on the compute nodes.

Issue is specific to the X4 Hardware platform and is due to the new memory expansion options.

Solution

Patch / solution is available in 11.2.3.3.0. Download file Bug18362474.zip and follow the instructions described in the README.txt file

Patch is included in 11.2.3.3.1 and later
