FSC 495E and 3337 (amongst others) reported in the Error, Warn and Information log for the library.

FSC495E, FSC3337

Changes

None

Cause

EWI logs and FE visit determined that the 'tape load limit' had been set falsely on the tapes due to a faulty drive. The tapes were therefore unable to be read on any drive. In this instance 4 tapes were affected but the drive could affect many more if not resolved in a hurry.
Recycle of SAMFS and replacement of the drive resolved the issue

Solution

Run diagnostics to the drive. Replace.

Within SAMFS change tape load limit for affected volumes.

Recycle SAMFS (this may not be strictly necessary).
