SymptomsIntermittent hangs or timeouts for new SSH and/or VCC console connection requests have been seen on Solaris 10 domains configured with Dynamic Resource Management (DRM).
With SSH requests this will report the connection is closed once the timeout has elapsed, for Virtual Console requests this results in a hang;
# ssh root@ldg1 Virtual console connections are hanging; ldg1 console login: root ^^ hang
To confirm whether Dynamic Resource management is enabled run the following command on the control domain;
# ldm list-domain -l -o resmgmt <domain_name> Example output for an active domain with DRM enabled; # ldm ls -l -o resmgmt ldg1 CONSTRAINT POLICY WEIGHTED MEAN UTILIZATION #
