Repeatedly  getting the following error message:

Class fault.chassis.device.misconfig
Message ID SPX86-8002-VP
Component /SYS/SP

Cause

The fault is raised because of monitoring tools that access the SP and monitor the hardware , in this case OHMP 2.1 is installed.  This can fill up /var/logs.

Clearing the ILOM logs, resetting the ILOM does not resolve the issue, the var/log file gets filled up again within a week.

Solution

The issue is resolved by removing older version of OHMP and installing the latest version of OHMP.

This is not a hardware fault with Service Processor and no hardware needs to be replaced.
