ibcheckerrors is reporting errors similar to the following even after running ibclearerrors & ibclearcounters

Symptoms

++ ibcheckerrors
#warn: counter SymbolErrors = 65535 (threshold 10) lid 62 port 255
#warn: counter LinkDowned = 255 (threshold 10) lid 62 port 255
Error check on lid 62 (SUN DCS 36P QDR exa-ib1.oracle.com) port all: FAILED

Cause

The ibcheckerrors command has been deprecated and should not be used.

Solution

The following command replaces ibcheckerrors:
ibdiagnet -skip dup_guids
