Symptoms

Users get automatically logged off the SL8500 operator panel when the inactivity timer is expired as a security feature. Some user find this annoying and want to get rid of this feature.

This happens with FRS version 8.xx and higher on an SL8500

Cause

Firmware feature

Solution

There is a CLI command to modify the pliAuthentification timeout value.

From a "service" login enter

SL8500> config pliAuth set [6,24,48,72,168)

(choose timeout value hours )

Some customers will accept a higher timeout value than the default 6 hours.
