Symptoms

On some X4-2 racks the second step of the BDA network configuration with networksetup-two may fail with the following message:

networksetup-two: no vlan for port, create it
Legal values for VLAN ID is NO or 0 to 4094
networksetup-two: verify vlan for port 0A-ETH-1 on xxx-hostname
01 manually and rerun

Note: It appears that not all BDA X4-2 racks are affected.

Solution

If this error message is encountered then networksetup-two should be rerun with the following additional arguments:

# networksetup-two -V NO
