Oracle Key Manager - Version 2.0.0 to 2.5.2 [Release 2.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Power supply was replaced on the KMA appliance but it still will not boot up.

Changes

Customer site had a complete power failure.

Cause

The power outage two weeks ago may have caused
the issue. The ELOM shows that two DIMMS have failed.

The DIMMS are A0 and A1. The KMA
cannot boot up with failed DIMMS.

Solution

Because there is no way to boot up the KMA, look at the ELOM/ILOM for failed components. Open the URL for the ELOM/ILOM, log in as user "root" or equivalent admin rights.

Navigate to "SYSTEM INFORMATION"

There will be a tab called "COMPONENTS", under there will be CPU, MEMORY and NIC tabs. Click on each and look for the  "STATUS" line, in that status line look for "FAILED"

In this situation, there are two failed DIMMS.

Replaced DIMMS to correct the issue so the KMA can boot up and operate normally.
