Connecting to 10.163.227.174... Password: Request for subsystem 'sftp' failed on channel 0 Connection closed
ChangesThe customer applied an Appliance Firmware upgrade to a 2011.x release
CauseTighter security in the later versions prevents the old method from working.
SolutionYou now have to provide the port number and directory location you are mounting to.
Example sftp -o "port=218" fred@10.163.227.174:/export/big
