Symptoms

env_test showed:-

Starting FAN test:
Fan 0 not present
WARNING Fan 1 running slow rpm 5450 limit 6440
WARNING Fan 2 running slow rpm 5341 limit 6440
WARNING Fan 3 running slow rpm 5341 limit 6440

Changes

none

Cause

This issue was caused by one of the fans.

Solution

Each fan was withdrawn in turn until the remaining 2 fans worked properly. If a know good fan from another switch was used to replace the suspect fan, all 3 fans worked well. As a double check, the suspect fan was placed into another switch and all 3 fans started to run slowly in that switch.
