Symptoms

Random E00 or C0D abends when reading CA encrypted virtual tapes via the VSM6.

Sometimes reading a VTV is successful, sometimes it is not.

Cause

The source of this problem was discovered to be in the VSM6 microcode.

Solution

Upgrade to VSM6 microcode level 6.0.6.09.000 or higher.
