X86 system reports the following warning during Solaris 10 boot after the cold boot or resetting SP:

SunOS Release 5.10 Version Generic_147148-26 64-bit
Copyright (c) 1983, 2013, Oracle and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved.
Hostname: x4470m2

x4470m2 console login:
Dec 24 11:28:53 x4470m2 usba: WARNING: /pci@0,0/pci108e,4848@1a,7/hub@3 (hubd1): Connecting device on port 3 failed

Cause

The warning appears because the ilomconfig-interconnect start has the "Internal error" as follows:

bash-3.2# tail /var/svc/log/network-ilomconfig-interconnect:default.log
Host-to-ILOM interconnect disabled.

[ Dec 24 11:21:25 Method "stop" exited with status 0 ]
[ Dec 24 11:28:32 Executing start method ("/lib/svc/method/svc-ilomconfig-interconnect start") ]
ERROR: Internal error

Set host ipaddress to 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx'
Host-to-ILOM interconnect successfully configured.

[ Dec 24 11:30:13 Method "start" exited with status 0 ]
bash-3.2#

Since the ilomconfig-interconnect has started subsequently, this warning can be ignored.

Solution

 Install patch 149639-04 for Solaris 10 x86.

  A workaround is provided by a <Bug: 15778364>
