Symptoms

Mammoth installation V2.3.1 Step 1 Fails with errors:

SUCCESS: All server software checks succeeded
ERROR: 1
ERROR: Error pinging ASR: <ASR Server>
ERROR: <ASR Server> has 162 : CLOSED
ERROR: Errors found verifying ASR setup requirements.
ERROR: Please disable ASR using the spreadsheet and regenerate the mammoth input params file.
ERROR: Use mammoth-config add asr later to configure ASR or
ERROR: Please fix the issues and re-run this step.


Additionally neither Ping nor SSH to the ASR Manager works.

Cause

 This is caused by the ASR Manager host system being down.

Solution

Check the ASR host to see if it is up. This error is resolved when the ASR Manager host is brought back up and ASR is pingable again.
