Symptoms

On a T4-4, running S11, when adding LUNs from a Fujitsu DX8400 SAN luns past 256 (0x0FF) are not seen.

Cause

Limitation on the Fujitsu DX8000 series. This is not a Solaris 11 limitation.

When the Affinity Mode is [OFF], and the Host Response that can
use up to 512 LUNs (0x000 0x1FF) (*1) is changed to the Host
Response that can only use up to 256 LUNs (0x000 0x0FF) (*2),
the LUN mappings allocated for FC-CA Port (0x100 0x1FF) is
deleted.

This is a limitation on the Fujitsu for Solaris. Fujitsu's solution is to treat hbas from the same host as different hosts from the Fujitsu perspective.
