Symptoms

Customer has a SL150 FC and Veeam backup (Windows 2008 R2 Server, Veeam Version 7) solution.
With this solution they are able to make a backup to the SL150 drives by manually mounting tapes but the changer (the SL150) is not recognized.

Veeam-knowledgebase entry 1812 shows that the customer needs a medium changer device driver for the SL150 library as the 'Unknown Medium Changer' driver we use by default is not valid for Veeam which requires a named driver.

Solution

As of 3rd May 2014 a new Windows driver has been posted to MOS for Veeam and DPM support.

Veeam requires the Oracle StorageTek Library Driver 2.5.0.0 for Windows Server 2008-2012 x64. Which has been has been posted to My Oracle Support.
