Symptoms

UX:MpCNappl: ERROR: 106: ????????????????.(Events occurred on the network TRAP)

Cause

The issue is described in the bug CR 6998891 and bug 12687602 - IB Switch Sending False SNMP Trap (IB SNMP LINK TRAP)

Solution

This are the false alarm in older switch firmware version SUN DCS 36p version: 1.3.3-2 and can be ignored if it does not occur frequently. We need to upgrade the switch firmware version to latest (2.x family) to fix this issue.

Note :- This SNMP traps can come from any IB port (used or unused port). It does not mean it is specific to single port.
