NDMP service not running or offline.

ASR indicating ndmp service is in maintenance state.

Cause

This issue can be related to a known problem discussed in Release Note RN032.

NDMP service may enter the maintenance state when changing properties.

Solution

As a workaround, restart NDMP service through BUI - Configuration > Services > NDMP > restart.

Or through the CLI:

S7000> configuration services ndmp disable

S7000> configuration services ndmp enable

Bug 15664828 - NDMP service transitions to Maintenance state after restart

NDMP log:

[ Feb 10 15:29:45 Stopping because service restarting. ]
[ Feb 10 15:29:45 Executing stop method (:kill). ]
[ Feb 10 15:30:45 Method or service exit timed out. Killing contract 163.
